Handmade Polymer Clay Jewelry by Emily Claire Creations

Today I'm featuring EmilyClaireCreations, a shop run by a polymer clay artist who likes to make beautiful, very interesting handmade jewelry from this versatile material!

This artisan makes gorgeous bracelets, pretty pendants, fantastic necklaces and fashionable earrings. She has a real eye for design, and likes natural, classic, vintage and industrial forms and shapes, which influence her creations.

Many of these pieces look very heavy, but they're surprisingly lightweight. This artisan has mastered techniques for applying metallic and antique finishes to these pieces; what looks like solid metal may not be metal at all!

The Ancient Artifacts, Bronze Chandelier Earrings are a great example. They look like solid metal but ... they're polymer clay with a metallic finish. The texture and finish on the dangles is wonderful; I love the patterned diamond shaped ear wires.

There is plenty of movement in these earrings, and even though they hang 2 1/4" from the ear and look heavy, they're actually very lightweight. The jump rings are copper; and they have pure copper leverback earwires for comfort and security. You could be wearing these - for $12.95!


Your Love is a fabulous necklace with sort of an industrial look. The eyelets are a cool design touch; the cut-out heart is really cute and contrasts with the polymer clay metallic "bronze" hammer finished plate. The red copper finished overlay plate proclaims your LOVE!

This pendant hangs on a hand made copper link chain with wire wrapped red aventurine, Czech glass and art glass beads. It is finished with a copper lobster clasp. This fabulous necklace could be on its way to you for $35.95!


These beautifully patterned Metallic Blue Paisley Earrings were handmade by Emily Claire. They feature a deep, bold paisley design. The disc shapes are about the size of a nickle (21.2mm).

The earrings have a unique blue and purple color; the metallic finish combined with the satin polymer glaze gives them an almost iridescent appearance ... they almost look like anodized niobium.

The discs are suspended from hand hammered, pure copper ear wires. These are really pretty, and very reasonably priced - $12.95!


This Monarch Butterfly Polymer Clay and Copper Necklace really is amazing! The pendant is unique; and so is the fabulous chin necklace it hangs from. This artisan really put time into this one; each link is hand formed; the chain was assembled a link at a time. Wire wrapped Czech glass fire polished beads sparkle throughout the beautiful chain.

The pendant is made with black and gold color polymer clays; it is 1 1/4" top to bottom, and 1 1/2" wide. Eyelets protect the clay and add a nice design element. This awesome necklace is priced at $45.95!

Handmade Jewelry at Designs By Cher

Cher is a metalsmith at heart. Her shop is full of gorgeous hand wrought, beautifully hammered silver and copper jewelry. As you'll see in this post, she is great at making many kinds of jewelry ... Cher's a really well rounded and very talented jewelry designer!

Most of the clasps, ear wires and other components in this jewelry are handmade by this jewelry artisan. Metal jewelry is something you'll see throughout this shop; Cher tends to put her beads on wire and use chain instead of stringing with bead cord. My first guest artist is Vic from Designs by Victoria! Her shop is focused on vintage style jewelry, steampunk jewelry and accessories - vintage clothing and her amazing hand embellished parasols. I love the jewelry she makes; Victoria has a great sense of color, balance and style!

This first pair of earrings - on the right - are a great look at one of Vic's design styles. There are several genres in her jewelry shop, which keeps things quite interesting!

Shazzabeth Creations - Chainmaille Jewelry & Wire Jewellery

Today I'm writing about my fellow Jet artisan, the owner and curator of Shazzabeth Creations. This jewelry artisan creates the bulk of her jewelry with wire; mostly silver, but you'll also find a few copper, brass and gold filled pieces thrown in for variety. Lately she's been working in PMC!

Many of these beautiful jewelry pieces contain gemstones but you'll also find many necklaces, earrings, pendants, Bracelets and Bangles are all metal in design. The quality of the workmanship is superb; and she only uses top quality materials to create her handcrafted jewellery.

There are four basic types of jewelry in this shop; chainmaille, wirework, bead, and PMC jewelry.

The chainmaille necklaces are just gorgeous. Of course many people prefer bracelets, and if you do you'll love the chainmaille bracelets! There are some really nice chainmaille earrings here too.


This silver wire bracelet is a gorgeous example of this outstanding wire artisan's work. There are no solder points in the Cloudy Day Bangle ; it is created entirely with wire that was formed with hand tools, the traditional way.

It spotlights an awesome fused glass cabochon. The bracelet design features smooth, polished wire on the outsides; the inner wires are twisted, to add contrast and interest to the design. Handmade Jewelry by Abacus Bead Creations

Today I'm writing about Peg of AbacusBeadCreations, one of my jewelry artisan friends from the JET Team over on Etsy. Peg makes amazing handcrafted bead jewelry ... very contemporary, bright and fashionable! Her handmade jewelry items include gorgeous bracelets, stylish necklaces, and fabulous earrings. You'll find a nice selection of beaded watches and there are great accessories to choose from, like unique beaded eyeglass holders and cool handcrafted lanyards for your ID tag or keys!

The pearls are man made; they're also made by Swarovski, so they're a nice quality imitation pearl.
